Tiles and their types
There are many different types of tiles and ceramics, some of which we briefly explain in this article for your convenience.
Ceramic
Ceramic is suitable for any room, such as the kitchen, bathroom, and entryway, due to its durability. Its advantages include easy installation, easy cleaning, and a variety of styles that coordinate with any design, making it a good option for renovations on a budget. When purchasing, it is recommended to check the part number of the ceramic to ensure a clean and uniform finish. It is also important to pay attention to whether the ceramic is glazed or unglazed; while the unglazed type has an artistic and rustic look, the glazed ones provide more protection and durability.
Porcelain tile
Porcelain tile is the most common type of tile, unlike ceramic tile. Its appeal lies in its ability to mimic natural stone, brick, or wood without the need for maintenance. You can have a beautiful finish that is weatherproof and maintenance-free. It comes in a variety of designs, colors, and styles, and can even be used outdoors because it won’t crack or crack. Glass tile

Cement tile

Since they are highly porous, a patina can develop over time to enhance the pattern and appearance. Additionally, if they change color, they can be sanded and re-sealed like wood floors. The biggest drawback of cement tiles is that they provide a suitable place for animals to lay their eggs. Furthermore, they require re-sealing and servicing once a month to maintain their beauty. This tile is best used in low-traffic areas and in small quantities.
Marble
Marble, while expensive, adds a touch of elegance and beauty to any room. Installing marble in a kitchen or bathroom instantly elevates the space and offers unique designs and veins. However, it requires a lot of maintenance to stay pristine, and like any stone, it is prone to scratches and stains. For this reason, it is best used in low-traffic areas unless a sealant is used. Many homeowners avoid marble in countertops and instead use it in decorative areas such as shower floors, columns, and splashbacks.
Mosaic

Travertine
Travertine, like limestone, offers a natural and unique beauty. Its soft, muted palette offers beautiful neutral colors. From gray to brownish and beige tones, it creates a beautiful and unique look. Travertine is easily affected by water, stains, and traction. For this reason, travertine requires extra maintenance and once-a-decade sealing. It is best used in low-traffic areas of the home. Diamond glass

Metal tile
